by The 5th Annual Jim Thorpe Native American 5K National Championship and Open Community 5K Run will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012.
The 2012 event will include the honoring of two local residents from the Albuquerque community, Mary Kirsling and Coach Matt Henry.
We will also honor two Native Americans. Hopi tribal member Rick Baker. Ricky set a national high school record this past year winning his 22nd state cross-country title in a row. The female recepiant will be announced at a later date.
Race will be held on the campus of Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute located at 9169 Coors Rd NW Albuquerque, New Mexico
