USAO’s Stephon Hall (Mvskoke Creek) Scores Career-High 20 Points in 83-84 loss to Oklahoma Panhandle State University

CHICKASHA, Okla. – On Thursday night, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (14-6, 7-5 SAC) suffered a heartbreaking 83-84 loss to Oklahoma Panhandle State University (11-7, 6-6 SAC). The Aggies would take the lead early in the first half and continued to lead going into halftime, 47-40. The Drovers would out-score the visitors 43-37 in the second half, however they would come up one point short of forcing overtime.

The Aggies came out firing, as they knocked down 18 of their 38 field goal attempts in the first half, including a 9 for 19 clip from beyond they arch (.474). However, the Drovers stepped up on the defensive end in the second half, as they held OPSU to 2-13 from deep. USAO knocked down 7 three-pointers in the second half, and shot .552 from the floor in the final frame. The two conference foes traded the lead late in the game, but the Aggies were able to survive the home team’s late push. 

Although the Drovers fell, they did receive a couple career performances from Cameron Hines and Dedrian Parmer. Parmer led all players with 29 points (career-high), and also added 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. Hines finished just 4 rebounds shy of a triple-double, as he recorded 14 points, 14 assists (career-high), and 6 rebounds. Stephon Hall (Mvskoke Creek) finished with his second straight performance of at least 19 points, as he picked up a career-high 20 points. Geno Artison scored 12 points, to go along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (game-high).
