by ENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Chase Scanlan (Seneca Nation) was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
Scanlan was key to the Greyhounds’ surge to start the second half, posting all three of his points in Loyola’s 4-0 run. He scored on a low-angle shot from the left side off a John Duffy assist 62 seconds into the frame. He then assisted on a Kevin Lindley goal two minutes, 40 seconds later that tied the game at 6-6.
Scanlan, who leads all NCAA Division I in goals scored this season (37), then caught a Pat Spencer cross-crease pass to one-time a goal at 8:30 that gave the Greyhounds the lead for good.
Scanlan has four Rookie of the Week awards this season, second most of any player in Patriot League history.
