COSTA MESA, Calif. – Ivory Miles-Williams (Nez Perce Tribe) scored a career-high 21 points and Nate Bru7neel hit three consecutive 3-pointers in a key second half run, as the College of Idaho closed out non-conference play with an 88-77 win at Vanguard University.

The Yotes (7-3) improved to 3-0 all-time against the Lions on their home floor – making 58-percent of their field goal attempts, including 11-of-19 from 3-point range.

C of I trailed 37-36 at the half, but Bruneel fueled a 14-4 run with his trio of triples, as the visitors grabbed a 54-46 lead. Derek Wadsworth would splash a three and convert a driving lay-up to start a 15-3 run – with a Bruneel dunk capping the 15-3 surge that gave the Coyotes a 73-56 lead with five minutes to play.

Ricardo Time scored 17 points, Jake Bruner had 15 points, six rebounds and three blocks, with Bruneel finishing with 15 points and five rebounds.

Kieron Hayward made six 3-pointers, part of a 20-point night to lead the Lions (4-4) – but VU was outrebounded 41-30 and made just 32-percent of their second half field goals.

The Coyotes return home next weekend to open Cascade Conference play, hosting Warner Pacific and Multnomah.
