MEDFORD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women’s basketball team rolled to a 102-27 victory over Lesley Tuesday evening.
The Lions improve to 8-1 on the season and 2-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference with the win. The Lynx drop to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in league action with the outcome.
Nahatabaa Nacona (Navajo) poured in a game-high 14 points off the bench while Morgan Vurek (Daly City, Calif.) finished with 11 points. Money Hamilton (Glendale, Ariz.) notched 10 points and nine rebounds. Sabrina Zerbey (Tracy, Calif.) recorded 10 points and eight boards.
The visitors wrapped up the first quarter on a 21-0 run to own a 27-3 advantage heading into the second frame.
Eastern Nazarene boasted a 33-point halftime lead, 47-14, after outscoring Lesley 20-11 in the second period.
The Lions chalked up 26 points in the third quarter and limited the Lynx to seven points to widen the margin to 73-21.
The guests tallied 29 fourth-quarter points while the home side managed six points in the final frame as Eastern Nazarene secured its second-consecutive conference win.
The Lions finished the game with a field-goal percentage of 51.2% while connecting on 5-of-17 from behind the arc. The Lynx shot 23.3% from the floor and 0-for-7 from three-point range on the night.
