STILLWATER, Okla. — Sophomore forward Kamaka Hepa (Inupiaq) posted a career-high 15 points to lead The University of Texas Men’s Basketball team (12-4, 2-2 Big 12) to a 76-64 victory against Oklahoma State (9-7, 0-4 Big 12) on Wednesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Longhorns converted a team season-high 15 three-point field goals (on 32 attempts) and tied a team season high with 19 assists while also setting a team season high with 11 blocked shots.
Hepa hit a career-best 6-of-10 field goals, including 3-of-7 from three-point range, in 31 minutes. Sophomore guard Courtney Ramey registered 14 points (4-of-8 threes), a game-high 9 rebounds and 6 assists, while redshirt sophomore guard Andrew Jones added 14 points in 31 minutes.
Junior guard Jase Febres tallied 13 points (3-of-6 threes) and 5 rebounds, and junior guard Matt Coleman III contributed 10 points and 5 assists. Freshman forward Kai Jones posted a career-high 5 blocks in 16 minutes, while junior forward Jericho Sims tied his career high with 3 blocks.
