Ashley Davis (Ojibwe) had a solid night for the Yellow Jackets posting 13 points

Spearfish, SD –  The Black Hills State University women’s basketball team suffered a tough loss to Colorado School of Mines 53-64 on Saturday night. They fall to 10-6 on the season and 7-4 in the RMAC

The Orediggers jumped to an early 17-9 lead in the first ten minutes of play and that was enough to seal the game for the Yellow Jackets. At no point in the game did the Green and Gold wrestle back control from Mines.

The team hit 37 percent of their baskets making 19 of 51. In a different story from Friday night, the team struggled from downtown only hitting 6 three pointers on 23 attempts. At the line, they hit 9 of 13.

Ashley Davis (Ojibwe) had a solid night for the Yellow Jackets posting 13 points. She made five of six baskets and was hitting 75 percent at the free throw line. Racquel Wientjes was also in double digits posting 13 points as well. She also recorded seven rebounds.
