The 22nd ranked Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team came back in the second half to defeat St. Petersburg 86-76 in a Suncoast Conference road game Wednesday night.
Down by four at halftime, sophomore Jacquelyn Levay hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to one and took the lead with six minutes to go in the quarter. The Titans would finish the quarter leading 64-60.
The Titans went on to outscore St. Petersburg 22-16 in the fourth quarter to take the win and improve to 19-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
Skye Williams scored a season-high 26 points while Milan Schimmel scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. Stephanie Torres had 16 points while Levay finished with 14 in the victory.
The Titans will host Hillsborough Community College in a Suncoast Conference game Saturday at 2 p.m. Eastern Florida State College defeated the Hawks 90-76 in the first meeting of the season.
