7G Foundation Announces Cancellation of this year’s 2020 Indigenous Bowl

(Soboba, California) – The 7G Foundation Executive Director, Bennae Calac and 7G Athletic Director, John Harjo with major consideration our Indians Peoples health and finances have made the decision to cancel this year’s 2020 Indigenous Bowl in a statement released from 7G Foundation.

“This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure player and coach safety on top of the impracticality of hosting such an event during these unsure times helped us to the eventual arrival at this decision.”

“The main priority of 7G continues to be the health, safety and wellness of our student-athletes and coaches. We’re a collection of entrepreneurs, coaches and tribal leaders building on the strength of our ancestors to mold the next 7 generations of Native leaders through education, athletics, culture and real world support.”

We plan on continuing that support through these trying times and want to help as many athletes that we can to secure a college home to continue their dreams of college athletics.

Please stay tuned to how we can help and do not hesitate to contact Executive Director Bennae Calac @ bennae@7GFoundation.com or Athletic Director John Harjo @coachharjo@7GFoundation.com.

  1. Thank you for sharing this with the gentleman player wearing his handprint on his face for ALL the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls of which 5,712 were murdered and missing in ONE YEAR! (2016). And not a darn presence of justice has come forth! Colonization tried to bury us but we are the seed !
