Johnson, VT – The Northern Vermont University-Johnson Women’s Basketball team has gained a commitment for the 2021-2022 season.
Kimora Parker (White Mountain Apache), a guard out of Mountain Pointe High School in Whiteriver, Arizona is the newest addition to the Badger’s women’s basketball program. She has completed the necessary paperwork and made her deposit, confirming that she will be attending NVU-Johnson in the Fall.
Kimora plans on majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Environmental Analysis and Assessment. Her greatest athletic accomplishment thus far is captaining her basketball team for, an impressive, six consecutive years.
The Mountain Pointe guard chose NVU-Johnson because she wanted to extend her athletic career beyond high school. When asked about Head Coach Greg Eckman, Parker replied “I’m excited to play for Coach Eck, our small conversation helped me feel like NVU-J is the best fit for me.”
Coach Eckman is very excited to bring Kimora into the Badgers Basketball family. “This past season we really worked hard to see as many games as possible, although online, we had a great opportunity to watch Kimora and her team this season as they made a deep playoff run. She is a team first player, always looking to make the small plays for her team. Kimora has the ability to score in the paint and behind the 3-pt line, combined with her defensive effort she is going to be a pleasure to Coach,” says Coach Eckman. “Kimora is a leader on and off the court, she is a hard working player and we are very excited she choose NVU-Johnson.”
