Emmit Taylor III (Yakama/Nez Perce) led Idaho State in scoring with 12 points in loss to MSU

POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men’s basketball team lost 60-40 to Montana State on Saturday afternoon in Bozeman.

Montana State broke open a close game in the last 13 minutes. The Bengals trailed 35-30 but then was outscored 25-10 over the final 13 minutes, allowing the Bobcats to put the game away.

Emmit Taylor III (Yakama/Nez Perce) led ISU in scoring with 12 points. He was a perfect 3-3 from the field, 1-1 from the three-point line and 5-5 from the free throw line. Malik Porter had a team-best seven rebounds.

Idaho State shot 25 percent for the game while MSU shot 44.7 percent. The Bengals were out rebounded 37-33.

Idaho State returns to the court on January 8 vs. Weber State in Reed Gym. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
