by NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women’s team basketball competed in their first matchup of 2023 Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk as they hosted Iowa Central Community College. The Hawks were victorious in the contest by a final score of 78-62.
The Hawks (9-5, 3-2 ICCAC) were led on the night by Allison Richards (Pine Ridge, S.D.) and Stevi Fallis (Pine Ridge, S.D.), who combined for 50 points in the showdown. Richards totaled 19 points in the first half and 28 points in the game while Fallis totaled 16 points in the first half and 22 in the game.
Northeast jumped out to an 11-0 run to start the ballgame and never surrendered the lead as they now get into the heart of conference play.
