CLARION, Pa. – Sophomore Justin Glover (Buffalo, N.Y.) paced a balanced attack with a career-high 19 points to lead the Daemen University men’s basketball team to a 97-76 victory over Clarion University today at Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium on the Clarion campus.
Daemen, which is ranked seventh in the Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) East Region poll, has now won five of its last six games and improved to 6-3 on the year. Clarion dropped to 1-3.
IMPACT PLAYERS
- Six players scored in double figures for the Wildcats.
- Glover, who returned to action after missing Daemen’s win over Slippery Rock University on Tuesday, connected on 7-of-15 shots overall and was good on 3-of-5 three-pointers. He also totaled five rebounds, five assists and a career-high five steals.
- Glover has now scored in double figures in all eight games he has played in this season.
- Senior Dylan Fasoyiro (Houston, Tex.) added 17 points and five rebounds, while graduate student Joey Atkins (Watervliet, N.Y.) chipped in 14 points, six rebounds and two steals.
- Senior Justin Hemphill (Buffalo, N.Y.) was in the starting lineup for the second-straight game and recorded his second double-double (13 pts, 11 rebs) of the year.
- Senior Nick MacDonald (Amherst, N.Y.) was good on 6-of-9 shots and scored 12 points, while classmate Andrew Mason (Webster, N.Y.) finished with 10 points.
- Sophomore Cam Kearney scored 20 points for Clarion, while classmate Jayson Harris added 15 points and eight rebounds.
