NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team was at home for the second time this week as they took on Southeastern Community College Saturday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. The Hawks captured their second victory in the last four days by a final score of 78-44.
Northeast (8-9, 5-4 ICCAC) was active defensively in the matchup as they forced the Blackhawks into 30 turnovers compared to just 10 of their own. Allison Richards (Pine Ridge, S.D.) was yet again the leading scorer for the Hawks as she totaled 27 points and is now averaging 23.6 points per game this season. Tori Osten (Columbus, Neb.) and Angie Davis (Bingham, Neb.) both put in 10 points of their own as Northeast will now prepare for three contests on the road next week.
