Alayna Contreras (Ojibwe) added 10 Points and 5 Assist for UMKC in 94-60 Win over UT-Dallas

KANSAS CITY – After returning home, Kansas City (3-5) got back in the win column with a dominant 94-60 win over UT Dallas (4-5) on Saturday afternoon. The Roos played balanced basketball across all four quarters, scoring 20 or more points in each quarter of the contest. KC’s commanding victory was heralded by a 21-7 first quarter in which the Temoc’s shot 27% from the field. 

The Roos saw five players, including three starters, score 10-plus points, highlighted by Emani Bennett’s 15 points and seven rebounds. Chloe Dallas finished with 14 points, the second highest mark on the team to go along with four rebounds and shot 5-7 from the floor. Ana Oliveira Dias and Alayna Contreras chipped 12 and 10 points respectively off the bench to lead the Roos with 49 bench points as a team. Kansas City shot 51% from the field for the game and over 50% in three of the four quarters with a 62% shooting quarter in the second frame.
