CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women’s basketball team picked up its sixth straight win Friday, earning a 78-59 victory over Bethune-Cookman inside Woodling Gymnasium. With the win, the Vikings are now 8-2 overall this season.

–Jordana Reisma (25 points) and Mickayla Perdue (22 points) both finished with 20-point games to lead the Viking offense, while Macey Fegan chipped in 11 points.

After a back-and-forth first half, the Vikings held a slim 34-30 edge heading into the third quarter. Cleveland State was then able to gain control of the contest during the third frame, outscoring Bethune-Cookman 21-12 to take a 55-42 lead into the final 10 minutes of action.
During the third quarter, the Vikings used an 8-0 run midway through the frame to gain a 49-35 advantage following a Jordana Reisma layup, while back-to-back Reisma baskets a few minutes later extended the Cleveland State lead to 53-37. The two teams then traded baskets over the final minutes of the quarter, with the Vikings taking a 13-point advantage into the fourth and final frame.
A Macey Fegan layup opened the scoring for the Vikings during the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 57-42, while a 5-0 run midway through the frame put the score at 64-45 with just over six minutes left to play.
On the Vikings’ ensuing possession, a Fegan three-pointer gave Cleveland State a 20-point lead at 67-47, while the Vikings went on to control play throughout the remainder of the frame, coming away with the 78-59 victory.
