VALLEJO, Calif. – Cal Maritime allowed Pacific Union to score 40 points, matching a team opponent low set in early January when it visited Angwin for a designated non-conference matchup to start the new year. Bo allowing the fewest points to any opponent since the start of the 2019-20 season, women’s basketball returned to campus with a 67-40 victory in Saturday’s Cal Pac Conference game at Covered Wagon.
The Keelhaulers wrapped-up the first round of league play with a dominating team effort: the Pioneers only shot 25 percent from the floor and committed 26 turnovers. Led by Dylan Fulton‘s season-high 13, CSUM also outrebounded PUC in the first of two rivalry contests scheduled this season.
These two teams will meet on February 22, in PEAC Main Gym, in the final regular season game of the year.
By scoring 19 points, Fulton notched her second double-double of the season.
Aysia Santos led the Keelhaulers with a career-high 22 points, on 10 of 19 shooting, and Suraya Lloyd added another 10 by canning 5 of 7 shots.
The Keelhaulers lead by as many as 31 points, never trailed and never experienced a tied score once they recorded the first points of the night.
