Iroquois Nationals (2-2) clinched third spot in the World Lacrosse Championships Blue Division with a 16-5 win over Australia

IROQUOIS NATIONALS 16, AUSTRALIA 5 – BOX SCORE

The Iroquois Nationals (2-2) clinched third spot in the Blue Division with a 16-5 win over Australia (1-3). For the Iroquois, offensive skill and depth proved to be the difference as Tehoka Nanticoke (5G, 2A), Devon Buckshot (3G), Matthew Bennett (3G), Austin Staats (2G, 4A), Jonah Mohawk (1G, 1A), Skklyar Thomas (1G) and Doug Jamieson (1G) scored. Australia had goals from Matthew Wood (3G), Ryan Hockey (1G, 1A) and Pius Bonjui (1G). Australia finishes in fourth place and will face undefeated Israel (4-0) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and the Iroquois will face Ireland at 12:30 p.m. – both games are at the stadium. The winner of the Iroquois-Ireland game will face Canada in the semifinals.

  1. i would only guess that the population of usa native american in new york only who play lacrosse is no more than 20’000 and canada the same amount? im talking Iroquois indians ?so if we look at the comparison of the population of iroqouis vs other countries population to pull from for their lacrosse teams,to come in 4 th is a tremendous victory for my people?im so very proud of you boys ! and proud to be a seneca of the Iroquois people
