The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (1-3) 75-69. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MUKS Poznan made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Cierra Joenell Robertson-Warren (193, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and international Agnieszka Skobel (180-89) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and her fellow American import guard Angel Goodrich (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MUKS Poznan left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. It was AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski’s third loss in a row. MUKS Poznan will play against Sosnowiec (#11) on the road in the next round. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play against Gdynia (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Top scorers:
