Aspen Williston (Choctaw) matched her career-best nine points for Sooners in loss to KSU

Manhattan, Kan. – The Oklahoma women’s basketball team dropped to Kansas State 92-74 Saturday in Manhattan.

With the loss, OU moves to 10-9 on the season and 3-4 against the Big 12. The Wildcats improve to 8-9 overall and 2-4 in league play.

Three K-State players scored 20 points or more as Peyton Williams led all players with 24; Ayoka Lee had 23 points and 20 rebounds; and Angela Harris scored 20. Kansas State out-shot OU 48.5% to 38.0% from the field.

Madi Williams led OU in scoring with 20 points and added four rebounds, two steals and two assists. Gabby Gregory had 15 points and was one board shy of a double-double with nine, which was good for the team high. Taylor Robertson chipped in 13 points but was held to just 3-for-12 shooting from the field.

Aspen Williston (Choctaw) saw a career-high 21 minutes and matched her career-best with nine points. The Broken Bow, Okla., native added a steal and a block in the effort.

The Sooners took an early lead in the first quarter, but Kansas State took a four-point lead into halftime. The Wildcats used an 11-0 run in the third to gain separation and OU was unable to bring the game within fewer than eight points.
