CHICAGO – Senior guard Bethany Baldwin (Forest County Potawatomi) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week the Saint Xavier University women’s basketball team (5-5, 4-1 CCAC) when the awards were announced by the league office Tuesday. It’s the first CCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award for the senior transfer.
- Baldwin recorded her first double-double of the 2023-24 campaign, finishing with a season-high tying 20 points and hauling in a season-best 10 rebounds. She shot 7-for-13 from the field (53.8 percent), tied her season-high with five assists, came away with three steals and blocked a shot in 36 minutes of action in a 77-70 CCAC victory over Indiana University Northwest on December 16 at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill.
- In 10 games this year, Baldwin in No. 2 on the team with 20 total steals, No. 3 in scoring at 10.2 points per game (ppg), in rebounds per game (rpg) at 5.2 and total assists with 18. She is tied for No. 13 in the CCAC in total steals, is No. 17 in points per 40 minutes at 19.3 and is No. 18 in rpg.
