by Bismarck State College’s Tronis McKay (Spirit Lake Tribe) has been named the Mon-Dak Athletic Conference’s men’s basketball player of the week.
McKay, a freshman from St. Michael, N.D., piled up 54 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, five steals and one blocked shot in. The Mystics went 0-2 in the week.
It was the second time this season the former Four Winds High School star has earned the award. For the season, McKay is averaging 26.2 points per game on 59 percent shooting.
The Mystics (6-6) play games in Tucson, Ariz., Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
