Chivas USA Club of MLS Soccer to host Native American Day with Chris Wondolowski (Kiowa)

On October 26th, Chivas USA soccer club from the Major League Soccer will host Native American Day when they play the San Jose Earthquakes at Stubhub Center in Carson, California. Chris Wondolowski, Kiowa Tribal member, of the San Jose Earthquakes will be recognized for his participation on the USA World Cup team.

In 2010, Wondolowski had a breakout season where he lead the MLS in scoring with 18 goals in 26 matches and lead the Earthquakes into the playoffs. Chris finished 2011 with 16 goals and signed a new contact with San Jose in February 2012. On top of his success on the field, Chris has partnered with Nike N7 to serve as an advocate for access to sport for Native American and Aboriginal youth.
