Destiny Beautiful Bald Eagle Won the Girls Varsity Cross Country Race at the Mobridge Invite

DESTINY BEAUTIFUL BALD EAGLE WON THE GIRLS VARSITY CROSS COUNTRY RACE AT THE MOBRIDGE INVITE

Cheyenne Eagle-Butte senior, Destiny Beautiful Bald Eagle started her final campaign for the Braves on a good note, winning the girl’s varsity race at the Mobridge Invitational with a time of 16:39. She easily outdistanced 2nd place finisher Kelsey Vandenhemel of Stanley County, who was 32 seconds back.

The Eagle Butte girls finished 2nd to Potter County, but showed some good depth and some nice effort for an early season meet.

CEB finishers:

1st – Beautiful Bald Eagle – 16:39

6th – Xandria Norris – 17:44

16th – Ivy Norris – 19:16

19th – Tori Ensen – 19:37

20th – Dawnee Keckler – 19:57

In the boys varsity race, Bison 9th grader, Daniel Burkhalter blew away the field with an impressive opening run of 16:14 for 5k. Burkhalter won the race by about 90 seconds over 2nd place finisher Austin Brown of Stanley County.

Edward Norris of CEB was the Braves lone runner, finishing 17th with a time of 20:25
