E’Lease Stafford (Navajo) Leads Kansas City with 24 Points in OT Loss to Arkansas State

STATE UNIVERSITY, Ark. – A pair of E’Lease Stafford (Navajo) free throws with 13 seconds left in regulation helped Kansas City Women’s Basketball force overtime against Arkansas State this afternoon, but the Roos could not pull out the win, falling in a 79-68 decision. Stafford led Kansas City, scoring 24 points and knocking down all four of KC’s three-pointers on the game, going for her second 20-point game of the season.

However, Arkansas State held KC scoreless in the extra period to take the victory going away.

She also facilitated the offense, dishing out a career-high eight assists in 36 minutes of play. However, she fouled out with less than a minute remaining in regulation, leaving the Roos short-handed in the overtime period.
