by COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State swept the Mountain West Player and Pitcher of the Week awards as junior Hayleigh Galvan (Cherokee Nation) and freshman Danielle Lung, respectively, earned the weekly honors announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Galvan hit 5-for-10 (.500) with a home run, four RBIs, and two runs leading Fresno State to a series win at UNLV. She had a hit in all three games with two multi-hit games. Galvan hit a go-ahead 3-run home run in the 7th inning in the series finale to give the Bulldogs a 5-3 win and posted an .800 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage for the week.
