Harlei Haceesa (Navajo) of University of the Southwest named as the RRAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

WACO, Texas – Harlei Haceesa (Navajo) of University of the Southwest (N.M.) garnered recognition as the RRAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her play over the dates of Nov. 1-7. This is the second conference award of the 2021-22 women’s basketball season. 

Haceesa averaged 18.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in an 0-2 week for the Mustangs. The senior guard from Shiprock, N.M., accounted for 22 points in a loss to Benedictine University Mesa (Ariz.), and she tacked on 14 points and six boards against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.). Haceesa was 15-of-21 from the field for the week. USW is off to a 0-4 start this season.
