Haskell Indian Nations University Volleyball Qualifies for the A.I.I. Conference Tournament for Third Straight Year

(Lawrence, Kansas – For the third year in a row, the Haskell Indian Nations University Volleyball team has qualified for the post-season Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference tournament. Only the top 4 teams out of the 13 team conference qualify.

Joining tournament Haskell will be tournament host Lincoln Christian University, Indiana University Northwest, and Crowley’s Ridge College (Ark.).

The four teams will play round-robin matches throughout Friday, Nov. 9, with the final match of the day having Indiana Northwest playing Haskell in a match scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

The results of Friday’s matches will determine the seeding for semifinal matches on Saturday, Nov. 10. The No. 1-seeded team will be squared off against the No. 4-seeded team, at 11 a.m., followed by a match between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds. The championship match ends the day, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

The two teams competing in the championship match will represent the conference in the NAIA national tournament.

The 2018 all-conference teams and special awards for the regular season will be announced at a pre-tournament banquet Thursday, Nov. 8, on the Lincoln Christian University campus.
