Haskell Indian Nations University will challenge for the 2019 A.I.I. Volleyball Conference Championship at Lincoln College on Nov. 15-16

Four teams will challenge for the 2019 Association of Independent Institutions Volleyball Championship from Nov. 15-16 at Lincoln College in Lincoln, Ill.

Lincoln, Lincoln Christian University (Ill.), Fisk University (Tenn.) and Haskell Indian Nations University (Kan.) will compete in pool-play matches on Friday, Nov. 15, to determine the four semifinal round seeds on Saturday, Nov. 16. The top seed will play the No. 4 seed in the first semifinal, while the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds will be in the second semifinal.

The championship match also will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16. Those two teams will receive automatic bids to represent the A.I.I. in the NAIA national tournament.

Making their postseason debut, Lincoln stands 23-12 on the season and has won all six matches against A.I.I. this season. The Lynx will conclude the regular season against Lincoln Christian on Nov. 5.

Lincoln Christian is 8-15 in 2019, but has a 5-1 record against A.I.I. competition this season.

Fisk has won eight of its last 10 matches to stand 14-22 on the season.

Haskell Indian Nations, the defending tournament champion, has posted a 10-20 record this fall.

The 2019 all-conference tournament teams and special postseason awards will be announced Thursday, Nov. 14, at a pre-championship banquet on the Lincoln College campus.
