by (Lawrence, Kansas) – Junior runner Tavia Hart (Comanche Nation) Haskell Indian Nations University (Kan.) has been named the Association of Independent Institutions Cross Country Runner of the Week after strong performances last Saturday.
Hart was the top finisher among NAIA competitors in the Bearcat Open at Maryville, Mo. The runner from Udall, Kan., placed 20th overall with a time of 22:37.87. Her performance helped the Haskell Indian Nations to a fourth-place team finish.
