by (Lawrence, KS) – Haskell Indian Nations University junior Nakooma Pelt (Navajo) has been named one of the initial Continental Athletic Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the 2022 season.
Pelt, the Defender of the Week, reached double digit for digs in four straight matches, amassing 63 digs while averaging 5.25 digs per set. The Albuquerque, New Mexico, native had 18 digs last weekend in back-to-back matches against University of Saint Francis (Indiana) and Arizona Christian University and recorded 17 digs against The Master’s College (California).
