Senior guard Chenis Peone (Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation) of Hawai’i Pacific University has been named Pacwest Conference Co-Defender of the Week for the week of December 1.
Peone guided HPU to a pair of wins, averaging 15.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. She had 13 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks against Montana State Billings. She then had a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds, along with four steals, against St. Thomas Aquinas. Peone is fourth in the conference in steals (2.2 spg).
