After an undefeated regular season and Region Championship under their belts, four Scotties have earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honors and three also received All-Region VI awards.
Three out of the five KJCCC Division II 1st Team All-Conference players came from Highland with, Mariane De Caravalho, Niccolly Ramalho and Berniezha Tidwell earning top honors. Blaize Burgess (Comanche/Absentee Shawnee) was the other Scottie who received honors making 2nd Team All-Conference.
Blaize Burgess will go down as the best three-point shooter in Highland Women’s Basketball history. She led the conference this season in three-point shooting making 108 throughout the season at 40%. She averaged 12.3 points per game and average three 3’s per game. Burgess now holds the record for career three-pointers (175), single season three-pointers (108) and single game three-pointers as she made 10 against Graceland.
