Pima Community College women’s basketball player Jacqulynn Nakai (Navajo) was selected ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the week of Feb. 11-17. She took home her fifth honor this season and ninth overall.
- Nakai, a sophomore guard, broke Sydni Stallworth’s (Palo Verde HS) record of eight selections as conference player of the week.
- The Aztecs went 1-1 last week winning at Mesa Community College but losing a close game at South Mountain Community College. Nakai averaged 30 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
- Nakai leads the ACCAC in averaging 24.1 points and 6.8 assists per game. She is also averaging 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.
- She has 1,181 points in her Pima career and needs 14 points to break Tia Morrison’s record of 1,194 points.
