AMHERST, N.Y. – Junior Justin Hemphill (Seneca Nation) registered his first career double-double and senior Nick MacDonald scored a team-high 15 points to lead Daemen University to a 76-65 victory over Alliance University today in non-conference men’s basketball action at Lumsden Gymnasium on the Daemen campus. Daemen of the East Coast Conference snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 3-2 on the year. AU, formerly known as Nyack College, a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). AU dropped to 4-3 following its second-straight setback.
Daemen entered the game ranked fourth in the East Region by the NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA).
IMPACT PLAYERS
- Hemphill, who logged a career-high 23 minutes off the bench, connected on 6-of-11 shots and totaled a career-high 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. Five of his rebounds were offensive. He also contributed two assists.
