Justin Hemphill (Seneca) scored a career-high 16 Points to Lead Daemen University to a 76-53 victory over Cheyney University

AMHERST, N.Y. – The Daemen University men’s basketball team evened its record at 6-6 following a 76-53 victory over Cheyney University this afternoon in non-conference action at Lumsden Gymnasium on the Daemen campus. Cheyney dropped to 2-11.

Daemen entered today’s game receiving votes in the latest NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) East Region poll.

IMPACT PLAYERS

  • Four players scored in double figures for the host Wildcats.
  • Junior Justin Hemphill (Buffalo, N.Y.) paced the Wildcats with a career-high 16 points in just 22 minutes off the bench. He went 3-for-3 from three-point land and also totaled eight rebounds and two steals. Hemphill entered the game just 1-of-4 from downtown over his career.
