Wichita, Kansas – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2014 Football All-Conference selections and individual award winners and Kenny Nez (Walker River Paiute) was named to the first team all-defense.
Nez is a sophomore defensive back for the University of Saint Mary who is originally from Reno, Nevada. This season for the Spires, Kenny had 83 tackles with 6 of them being for a loss. Kenny also had 7 interceptions on the season and 15 deflections, his seven interceptions ranked second nationally in total interceptions in the NAIA and he ranked fifth in interceptions per game. His total pass deflections also ranked 11th in the nation as well.
