WACO, Texas – After a season that saw the Louisiana Christian University women’s basketball team pick up the most overall wins and most wins in conference since 2014-15, four Wildcats were recognized with All-Red River Athletic Conference honors, led by Kieyoomia Benally’s (Navajo) individual honor as the conference’s Newcomer of the Year, the RRAC announced on Saturday.
Benally, a junior guard from Farmington, N.M., was named First Team All-Conference as well as the RRAC’s Newcomer of the Year. She led the team by averaging 16.4 points per game on 47.4% shooting, including a team-best 43.5% from above the three-point arc. In her first season with the Wildcats, this is her first postseason conference award.
