by Oklahoma State guard Lakota Beatty (Caddo/Lakota/Gros Ventre) announced that she is not returning to the Cowgirls basketball team in 2015-16.
Beatty announced her decision via a Twitter post on Tuesday that is no longer available, saying she was “Truly thankful for everything Oklahoma State has done for me/blessed me with but I have decided that I will not be returning back next year.” Beatty did not specify whether or not she is transferring to play basketball at another school.
Beatty, a 5-foot-8 sophomore from Anadarko, started eight games for the Cowgirls in 2014-15, and averaged 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 25 games.
