by (Enid, Oklahoma) – Lindy Waters III (Kiowa/Cherokee) helped lead the Enid Outlaws past the Waco Royals on Sunday afternoon. Waters had his best game of the season to date, scoring 33 points – he was 11-13 from the field and 8-10 from from the 3 point arc.
The Outlaws opened the game with a 14-2 run and never looked back after Waco called a time out and after the first halve was done, Enid was up 84-33 at the half. Waters had 19 points at that point and crowd favorite Wayne Runnels (Cheyenne/Arapaho) was not to far back with 16 of his own.
In what was initially a highly-touted game that pitted the number one team in the Central league standings against the number three team, the Waco Royals really never stood a chance against and the game allowed the Outlaws to play much of their bench in the second half. With a final score of 161-80 the Outlaws move to (8-0) on the season.
Charlie Marquardt (24), Wayne Runnels Jr. (23), Kyle Steward (23) and Chance Comanche (20) were the scoring leaders for Enid.
Waco was led by George Brock (18), Marvin White (18), and Gary Cox (14).
