L’tia Lawrence (Assiniboine/Sioux) Scores Eight for MSU-Northern who Split Series with Montana Tech

The MSU-Northern Skylights lost to Montana Tech 62-52on Sunday in Butte, Montana. The Skylights came out slow only scoring seven points in the first quarter to Techs 16. Northern came back to win the second quarter 20-18. In the second half, the Skylights got within six, but couldn’t get any closer.

Individual Stats:
The Skylights were led by Tiara Gilham (Blackfeet), who had 15 points and nine rebounds. L’tia Lawrence (Assiniboine/Sioux)  added eight points. Sydney Hovde led the team in rebounds with 13 and added eight points.

The Diggers were led by Mesa William, who had 20 points going 7-16 from the field. Madison Allen added 11 points. Aubrie Rademacher added 10 points.  Brooke Heggie led in rebounds with seven.

Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 37, 17 percent from the arc, and 66 percent from the free throw line.

Montana Tech shot 44 percentage from the field, 47 percent from the 3-point line, and 50 percent from the free throw.

The Skylights are 6-13 in the overall season and 5-10 in the Frontier Conference.
