Lyle Thompson has been named the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for the Second Consecutive Week

There is a déjà vu vibe for the Florida Launch as Lyle Thompson has been named the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Launch to a victory over the Charlotte Hounds in Week 13. Just like he had done the previous week, L. Thompson recorded eight points in a 17-16 overtime win at Charlotte, the first Launch road win versus the Hounds.

This is the second time that a Launch player has repeated as Offensive POW, as Casey Powell held the title for Weeks 3 and 4 during the 2014 season. It is the third time the Launch have earned the weekly award this season, as Kieran McArdle won it back in Week 5.

The award marks the fourth-straight week the league office awarded the Launch with an honor, starting with Christopher Mattes winning Face-Off Academy Player of the Week in Week 10 and Connor Buczek earning Cascade Rookie of the Week.

In just six games this season, L. Thompson has risen to the new challenges of the MLL with 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points which ranks 20th in the MLL.

Still not out of the postseason, the Launch travel to Denver for its final road game of the season on Sunday, July 19 followed by finishing up the 2015 at home on Saturday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets or call (561) 923-9067.
