Lyle Thompson (Onondaga Nation) Named Lacrosse Magazine Mid-Season Most Outstanding Attackman, All-American

Lacrosse Magazine Midseason All-Americans, Major Award Winners

BALTIMORE – UAlbany senior Lyle Thompson (Onondaga Nation) has been named a midseason All-American and the early favorite to win the Tewaaraton Trophy and the Turnbull Award for Most Outstanding Attackman by Lacrosse Magazine.

Thompson, the reigning Co-Tewarraton Trophy and Turnbull Award winner, currently is first in Division I in assists per game, totaling 27 in his first six games, and second in points per game, adding 12 goals to total 39 points on the year.  He has two 10+ point games on the year against Stony Brook and Canisius.  He quarterbacks an offense that is averaging 16.83 goals per game, second in all of Division I.

He is a member of the Tewaaraton Watch List and was a preseason All-American in each Lacrosse Magazineand Inside Lacrosse.
