BATESVILLE, Ark. – Cade Davis (Choctaw Nation), of the Lyon College men’s cross country team, was named as this week’s American Midwest Conference Male Cross Country Runner of the Week following his performance at the Lyon College Invite last week.
In his first collegiate race, Davis flew past the competition and earned an individual first-place performance for the Scots in the 5k event at the Lyon College Invite. Davis was the lone competitor to cross the finish line under 18 minutes at 17:57. He helped the Scots earned a second-place finish as a team at the meet.
The Scots will return to action on Sept. 7 at the UCA Cross Country Challenge in Conway, Ark.
