OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women’s basketball team earned its fourth straight victory on Tuesday night in Wilson Field House. The Braves defeated non-conference opponent Manhattan Christian College, 109-49. The 109 points that the Braves scored are the most in program history. Cierra Brown’s eight steals ties her for fifth in the OU record book in single game steals.
The Braves started the game on an 8-2 run and never looked back, taking the 60 point victory. Ottawa led 31-0 in fast break points, 47-5 in points off turnovers, 52-18 in points in the paint, 16-8 in second chance points, and 50-2 in bench scoring.
OU shot 46.2 percent from the floor, 31.7 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 100 percent from the free throw line.
Maria Moore led the Braves with 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the floor. Cierra Brown scored 18 points, Jordan Bianco finished with 14 points, Nicole Brown scored 12 points, and Jayla Johnson had 11 points. Hailey Henry led OU with seven rebounds and five assists
