Marshall University’s Stormy Randazzo (Creek/Seminole) Tied for 15th after the first two rounds of the Golfweek Program Challenge on Monday

PAWLEY’S ISLAND, S.C. – The Marshall women’s golf team completed the first two rounds of the Golfweek Program Challenge on Monday and sit in sixth place out of 15 teams.

The final for the Herd begins Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.

“The first day of a new semester is always a mystery,” Herd head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. “We were as prepared as we possibly could have been. I saw a lot of good shots today and we are still in it to win tomorrow.”

Senior Shelby Brauckmuller was the top finisher for the Herd at the end of day one with a 1-under 143, and in a tie for fourth. Junior Kerri Parks jumped up six spots from round one to round two and sits in 11th with a 1-over 145. Junior Stormy Randazzo (Creek/Seminole) moved up two places on the leaderboard as well and is tied for 15th.

Sarah Kahn of High Point is the individual leader with a 4-under 140 and holds a two-stroke lead over Pan Paksanont of USC Upstate. On the team side Florida Atlantic is in the lead by one shot over High Point.
