Marshall’s women’s golf second round was highlighted by Stormy Randazzo (Creek/Seminole), who shot even-par 72; The Herd currently sit in 7th

MACON, Ga. –After 36 holes of golf at the Brickyard Collegiate, the Marshall women’s golf team is in a tie for seventh place after posting a 35-over 611.

“We kept things together today the best that we possibly could,” head coach Brooke Burkhammer said. “The best thing about these five girls is we never give up. I want them to come back tomorrow and have a great final found to carry into the conference tournament next week.”

The second round was an eight-stroke improvement from the previous day. Freshman Stormy Randazzo was the highlight for the Herd in the second round after she posted an even-for-par 72 with two birdies to move her into a tie for 23rd place with an overall score of 7-over 151. Junior Ylva Forslund is in a tie for 19th place with a score of 6-over 150.

For the teams, Vanderbilt has an eight-stroke lead over Old Dominion with a score of 3-over 579. Individually The Commodores’ Morgan Baxendale has a two-stroke lead over three players with a score of 2-under 142.
