by Four members of the Marshalltown Community College Men’s Basketball team have been named to the NJCAA Division I All-Region XI team. The Tigers placed four players on the Honorable Mention squad.
All four players that earned the postseason honor are sophomores- Vincent Lasley (Tama, IA/Meskwaki Nation), Amir Maddred (Camden, NJ/Camden),Tyler Miller (Louisville, KY/22ft Academy), and Guilherme Verardo (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Esporte Clube Pinheiros).
Lasley led the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in rebounding with 7.8 rebounds per contest after starting 27 games in his final season at MCC. Lasley also averaged 8.6 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting from the floor. The sophomore also recorded five double-doubles on the season.
