The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team opened on a 24-0 run and cruised to its 13th win of the season Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
After shutting out ASA Miami in the first quarter, the Titans went on to win every quarter to post the 106-24 victory in a non-conference game.
In the end 13 different Titans scored led by the duo of Skye Williams and Jacquelyn Levay who each scored 15.
Williams has now scored at least 10 points in 15 of the team’s 17 games while Levay has scored at least 14 in four of the last five games.
Freshman Stephanie Torres finished with 12 points, marking the fifth straight game she has scored at least 12 points in a game. Milan Schimmel (Umatilla) also finished the game with 12 points to go with nine rebounds and five assists.
The Titans held ASA Miami to single digits in three of the four quarters.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to the College of Central Florida on Wednesday before opening the Suncoast Conference season Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House against St. Petersburg College. Saturday’s game will begin at 2 p.m.
