WHITEFISH, Mont., Mar. 7, 2018 — Frontier Conference commissioner Kent Paulson announced the 2017-18 Women’s All-Conference Basketball team, as well as individual award winners today after balloting by the league’s coaches.
Representing the MSU-Northern Skylights Basketball team are senior Brandy Lambourne and sophomore Shiloh McCormick.
McCormick was named to the Honorable Mention team. The 5’9″ guard from Lodge Grass missed six games this season due to injury, but still managed to finish eighth in the conference in points per game (11.5). She was tenth in rebounds per game (6.1) and fifteenth in total rebounds (146). McCormick also posted four double-doubles on the season, ranking her fifth in the league. She had several career highs this season as well in points (24, Dickinson State), rebounds (13, San Diego Christian), assists (6, Our Lady of the Lake), and steals (5, Lewis-Clark State).
Carroll College’s Rachelle Sayers was named Coach of the Year. Montana Western junior guard Brianna King was named Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. University of Providence senior guard Stephanie McDonagh was selected Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Parker Esary of the University of Providence was named Freshman of the Year. Taylor Salonen of Carroll College and Kaylee Zard share 6th Player of the Year honors.
